September Celebrations

Last September was a fun filled month for our little Boo unit and I can’t believe we are now in September 2016.  Two major things happened last year for us.  Firstly we adopted Lola from her previous family as they didn’t have the space for her to stretch her legs; she’s a big cat!  It must have been hard for her moving to a new home and having a new family.   I’m not going to lie, it took some time for her to settle into the house so we gave her plenty of space. She is well and truly at home now with us! You can see for yourself how beautiful my baby bean is.

The next big thing to come was marriage. We got engaged the year before and didn’t want a “wedding” so instead we did a small gathering of very close family and friends.  Jon and I have been together 10 years now and both felt a big traditional wedding was not us and not
something that we wanted.  We are not your conventional couple!  I didn’t want a traditional wedding dress as it wouldn’t fit what I like or the day however I did want a fabulous pair of Louboutins which my parents were lovely enough to treat me to.  Jon was happy in his Converse!  The ceremony was short and sweet and was held in in a library in Mayfair. After, we went to the Sandersons Hotel for the Mad Hatters afternoon tea. We had booked a private room to enjoy with our select few and they made it special with little extra celebratory touches by the hotel.

Here are a few snaps from the day taken by my friend Neil at Get Your Comic On.

Some beauty bits for my wedding look! I loved my lip colour. I had searched for the perfect nude lipstick which was just pink enough but didn’t find the right one. I settled for my trusty Gerard Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Serenity which was the collab with Manny MUA. It is stunning and lasts a long time. My foundation was Benefit Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation in Ivory.  It’s a good coverage for a special day.  I kept the eyes simple with a slight smokey eye look, winged liner and mascara. My signature bridal scent was YSL Black Opium which gave me the rock princess vibe. It’s so beautiful with the scents of coffee (my true love), white flowers and then a hit of vanilla.

Thanks for reading 🙂
