Clarins Makeup

Clarins is a line of makeup I haven’t really tried so I was excited when I ventured into the Debenhams on Oxford Street to try out some new products.  The lady who helped me was great and knew her stuff!

We started with foundation.  My T-zone is getting worse! Like many I have combination skin which can be such a chore to deal with.  The foundation for my skin was the Ever Matte Skin Balancing Foundation in nude 105.  The floral scent is an added bonus with this! For a matte foundation it isn’t thick or cakey so it glides onto the skin leaving it soft.  This is a buildable foundation which I love as I can use this daily or have a full coverage makeup look when I go out.  The sleek package design and gold cap gives this foundation a great high end look.  At £28 I felt this was a bargain!

Next product we tried was the matching powder; Ever Matte Mineral Powder Compact in 01 transparent fair.  Sadly I did not like the look of this powder on top of the foundation. It sat on top and I felt like it was too unnatural.  For a fair skinned person with ample freckles I try not too wear too much makeup and this was exactly why.  This product was a no for me.

To give me some life back into my skin we tried a blusher. I like a nice pop of pink or coral to bring my skin to life.  The Blush Prodigy Illuminating Cheek Colour in 03 Miami pink was such a beautiful shade.  The sheen gave a natural glow to the skin and felt so soft.

Lastly I tried and instantly needed the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in 01 honey.  It is thick  like honey and glides on your lips with the big plush applicator.  This products stays in place too! I can put this on before I leave for work and still have it in place while I drink my coffee. No other lip treatment can do that.  At £19 it is a little pricey however I think it is worth every penny.
