It’s August and I have no idea where that came from! July is a bit of a blur for me, anyone else? Something I do remember is the London heatwave and spending my time in the park however I will try to forget the sleepless hot nights. Now, I am on my balcony enjoying this summer evening with a lush breeze.
Finding my favourite products in July was a tough one but I have gone for the products I couldn’t live without. My make up and beauty product collection has grown yet again so it may be time for a little clear out! Scary thought, maybe not.
Let’s start with foundation. With this hot weather I was thankful for a light foundation which felt like a BB cream but with better coverage. The Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions foundation was from Boots costing £25. The formula is beautiful and blends well on my oh so pale skin. Naturally I was the lightest shade, just! This is perfect for daily wear but I find I don’t reach for this for a more glam look. I’m still searching for the perfect night out foundation, all suggestions welcome.
My next perfect pick is a pinky blush from Kiko. Sadly this shade is no longer available on the website but I’m sure the shade I have linked is just as amazing. The packaging is lush, I love the flash of hot pink on the outside. The blush is soft and creamy leaving a flush of colour. It fits my skin tone perfectly especially when I wear minimum make up as it just gives a pop of colour.
My crazy frizzy hair has been super thirsty after this heatwave. Moroccanoil products are by far the best on the market for me. This treatment oil works on wet and dry hair. I don’t know what I would do with it. Try the shampoos and conditioners too. They smell so good and leave your hair silky smooth!
My last product is my favourite liquid lipstick, so far! This is a great everyday colour and it lasts long while leaving my lips in good condition too. The Bourgeois Rouge Edition velvet lipstick in Don’t pink of it is a lovely nude shade for my skin tone. There are darker nudes which I may need to pop back to Boots for! I hate the sticky labels they put on these products…try to ignore the sticky patches on the lipstick pics above.
