Whoops, I totally missed the June Glossybox! I will try to be better with my uploads each month. Let’s get into it!
As I’ve been signed up to Glossybox for sometime now I had a little Thank You note and notebook added in which was super sweet. I can make notes as I try out my luscious treats and then feedback, perfect ideas guys! Another little extra in my box was a little card from the author of the recipe book Eat Beautiful. Wendy Rowe is a makeup artist who has worked with the likes of Burberry, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and the infamous cover of V Magazine with Ke$ha’s face painted in the American flag. She is a genius pretty much. Back to the Glossy card! It came with a healthy recipe for courgette and brown rice spaghetti. Delicious! I will try this out and report back.
A strange product to receive in my box was the Soft & Gentle Hair Minimise Anti Perspirant, £2.99. This may be a great product for some people however I have extremely sensitive underarms so this makes me slightly concerned about what is sinking into my skin. I will offer this to a friend. If this is something you are looking for I can say the scent is really pretty, if that helps at all…
Next was the Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara, £13.04. This card states the website of this company however it does not exist which is a little strange. This is a really good product! Water proof mascaras are not always my best friend as my eyes are a little sensitive but this applied really well and made my lashes look epically long! The staying power was amazing too. There was no smudging and my lashes stayed strong all day. However, the true test was the removal. I used my Garner Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water to remove this gently and it worked. Top product!
We have had a few Hairon products in our boxes over the last 12 months I feel. The creaseless hair ties are still a top product of mine! The Hairon De-tangle Brush, £6.99, is not the best addition to my hair brush collection sadly. I use a Tangle Teezer at the moment which I think is slightly better than the Hairon one sadly. I might gift this to a friend too.
There is an item I haven’t yet tried in the box. The Utan and Tone Nourishing Night Creme, £12.50, is an overnight face self tan product which has lots of goodies to help your skin. Also it claims not to smell like a normal self tan which is something I really can’t stand. The reason I haven’t tried this is because I am a super pale skin girl who hasn’t fake tanned in some time. Maybe I will try this out this weekend but I always have the fear it will make me super orange, eek! Let me know if you have tried this and what you thought about it.
Finally, the best product in my box this month. The Blank Canvas F20 Flat Brush is a dream and not breaking the bank either at £11.95. (Please note prices are from the Glossybox card but prices do vary on websites) I was looking to buy a new foundation brush so I was happy to try this out. It buffs out my liquid foundation beautifully. I love the colour of the brushes so I may take advantage of the 30% off code we are given!
So overall, I was sort of impressed in some areas but all. This box had 4 full size products but the full cost of the box was not as high as normal sadly. I have noticed when we have a “cheaper” box one month the next month is far better, fingers crossed then. Next month we have had the chance to pick a MUA Eyeshadow Palette from four different styles. Mine is the neutral brownie shades so should be good.
Hope you enjoyed my review guys 🙂 Let me know what you got this month.
