Wow June went by far too fast! It was my birthday in June so I traveled home to see my parents in Scotland for a few days. We had a lovely time together having afternoon tea, we went to Edinburgh Zoo and spending time with my extended family. More to come on the trip soon!
My love of Lush products is unreal and everyone I know is aware of that. This is probably why I have an abundance of bath bombs post birthday! But, this was not always the case. It was only around 5 years ago I was finally able to step foot into a Lush store. Whenever I walked past the smell would be so strong it would give me a headache. However, after trying the Blackberry Bath Bomb I was hooked!
My favourite at the moment is Sakura. There are a lot of comments from people who don’t like this as it doesn’t change the colour of the water. For me, I love a bit of glitter and pinky hues in my bath but this scent is so beautiful I personally wouldn’t have it any other way. The main scents in this bath bomb are jasmine, mimosa, lemon oil and orange flower. Such a beautiful mix which was inspired by the cherry blossom in Japan.
A fabulously funky bubble bar can only be Granny Takes a Dip (Note: there is more to life than just bath bombs). This is a feel good one to have in your collection because it can be broken up so you can use it maybe 2 or 3 times. I love a bargain bubble bar! The tantalising scents of ginger, pepper and lemon oil make you feel relaxed and your skin silky smooth. Your bath will take on a purply hue and as always with Lush, it won’t stain!
The Lava Lamp was a bath bomb I have never tried before and I’m undecided on whether it’s something I will repurchase. As the water dissolves the orange bath bomb the purple oils begin to swirl around the water just like a lava lamp.
The Lava Lamp includes Sicilian mandarin, tangerine and orange flower scents which smell beautiful mixed with the purple “blobs” of cocoa butter and extra virgin olive oil. It did smell lovely but something just didn’t pop for me.
A hidden gem would have to be Twilight. The gorgeous purple exterior fizzes away to reveal a luscious midnight blue. I personally love the calming fragrances in this! Lavender, tonka, benzoin and ylang yang. Top choice of essential oils for any diffusers if you need to feel happy and sleepy.
Last but not least, another top bubble bar has to be The Comforter. Again another sneaky 2 or 3 baths can be made from one product. I love the mixture of bergamot oil, cassis and cypress oil in this product for a beautiful scent and moisturising properties. I always have one of these in my collection because I can’t live without it!
Thanks as always for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you enjoyed! After having a month away from writing and I really missed it so it’s time to get typing 🙂
